With a stake of 47%, private equity firms could influence the ClearView Wealth board. While this group can't necessarily call the shots, it can certainly have a real influence on how the company is run. With a 11% ownership, the general public have some degree of sway over ClearView Wealth. But it might be worth checking if those insiders have been selling. Some would say this shows alignment of interests between shareholders and the board, though I generally prefer to see bigger insider holdings. It has a market capitalization of just AU$258m, and insiders have AU$16m worth of shares, in their own names. We can see that insiders own shares in ClearView Wealth Limited. This can be negative in some circumstances. However, high insider ownership can also give immense power to a small group within the company. Insider ownership is positive when it signals leadership are thinking like the true owners of the company.
